  • Responding to a post on the Britannica blog that admonishes people who rely on the first page of search results  (citing incorrect stats and ignoring search refinement to back up the point), Matthew Tabor goes through some actual stats on how people search. 62% of users click on results in the first page (as opposed to the 1% claimed on Britannica’s blog), but many users will refine their search results if they don’t find what they want quickly from their initial search.
